The ONE team you’ll rely on again and again

We're Exceptional 1 Services, your friendly, local home remodeling and renovation contractor serving Blacklick, New Albany, Reynoldsburg, and the greater Columbus communities. At Exceptional 1 Services, we’re committed to you and to delivering your vision.

We provide the best-quality products and bring our expertise, dedication, integrity, and consistency to every project. Our service-minded team focuses on attention to detail, communication, and building lasting relationships with our customers, vendors, and team. Come on in — let's talk about your home.

Hey there! We're glad you found us.

Exceptional 1 Services is a home improvement and general contractor business built on a simple concept: we treat your home the way we'd want ours treated.

Whether you're dreaming up a full kitchen remodel, are finally ready to tackle the basement, or need one thing done right, we're the licensed general contractor Central Ohio homeowners come back to, project after project.

We're not the biggest company in Columbus, and we like it that way. It means you'll actually know our names, we'll know you and your home, and you'll never feel like just another job on the schedule.

What We Do

The heart of the home deserves more than a quick fix. From custom cabinets to countertops to a full kitchen remodel, we help Columbus-area homeowners build a kitchen that actually works for how they live.

Kitchens
Whether it's a small bathroom remodel or a full renovation with a walk-in shower conversion, we bring the same care to your bathroom that we'd want in our own homes.

Bathrooms
An unfinished basement is wasted potential. We help homeowners across Central Ohio turn extra space into a finished basement they actually use, whether it’s a family room, a home bar or just a cozy place to gather.

Basements
Some ideas don't come from a catalog. Whether you're picturing a backlit bar, a built-in wine nook, or a statement fireplace surround, we design and build custom features that make your home feel like yours.

Special Features
Not every project is a full remodel. Sometimes you just need flooring installed, a room repainted, or drywall repaired. We handle those projects too, with the same attention to detail and quality as our biggest jobs.

Drywall, Flooring & Painting
From built-in shelves to cozy window seats, our carpenters build pieces that fit your home and life. We measure twice, listen closely, and craft every detail by hand, so your space feels warm, personal, and thoughtfully made just for you.

Proudly serving Central Ohio communities

We're based right here in Reynoldsburg, and we love this community. You'll find us doing home remodeling and general contractor work throughout Reynoldsburg, Pickerington, New Albany, Blacklick, Pataskala, and Etna, plus projects across Gahanna, Westerville, and Columbus.

What we're proudest of is the number of clients who call us time and time again for their next project, or send a friend our way. That kind of trust isn't something you can shortcut. It’s built over time through meaningful relationships with our customers.

Wherever you are in Central Ohio, if you're picturing a better version of your home, we'd love to help you get there.

Homeowners trust us

We're a NARI-certified contractor, meaning we hold ourselves to the remodeling industry's own standard for quality and integrity, not just our own. We're also an accredited Better Business Bureau business and members of the Ohio Association of Radon Professionals.

We hold contractor registrations for Home Improvement, General and Demolition contracting with the City of Columbus and in several of our surrounding municipalities, including Southwest Licking Community Water & Sewer District, Reynoldsburg, New Albany, Gahanna, and Pickerington.
